Diane Slater - Founder of Venue Pro
I was born, literally, into hospitality. My parents ran a pub in Hampshire and so from an early age I was used to customers.
With early ambitions to be a Hotel Manager and further education helped fulfil this goal. I worked in a range of four-star hotels and stately homes across the UK involved in many aspects of hospitality, from Front of House to Conference Sales.
I soon discovered the wonderful world of hotel booking agents and relished the opportunity to work with some fabulous hotels whilst employed by Peter Rand – the industry’s first agent and mentor.
Agency Experience
Then the entrepreneurial genes had kicked in and I decided to open the door to my own agency Right Location. My ethos of exceptional customer service and attention to detail helped it grow into one of the south coast’s leading agencies.
But after such an innings, it was time for a change and so I sold the business to another agent, who was Midlands-based and looking to expand further south.
Ethos
I offer a personable service that is friendly, sociable and approachable. I want agents to feel confident and reassured about using me as the lynchpin between venues their clients and themselves. I ask the right questions and take an authoritative stance in sales situations when acting on your behalf.
